Germans claim that 'hiking was invented in the Black Forest' in the mid-1800s. Nopwadays he Black Forest natural landscape can be hiked through along thousands of kilometres of hiking trails.
Schwarzwald is widely known as one of germanys most beautiful hiking regions. You will be enchanted by superb panorams, deep-blue mountain lakes and deep valleys. On the first part of this hike you walk from Titisee up to the Feldberg - Schwarzwalds highest peak. Then you visit the ski resort Todtnauberg and carry on to the gentle valley Bernau. Small trails lead your way to the lake Schluchsee, the last highlight of this tour. You ramble along its shores and finally arrive at the last stop on a hill with a wonderful view over Schwarzwalds gentle valleys. 

Day 1: individual arrival in Titisee / Saig
Day 2: Titisee / Saig - Hinterzarten
You walk through a quiet forest into the nature reserve Rotmeer. You traverse the Bärental and take a look at the Seebach waterfall. After that you hike steeply uphill. You reach the West Trail, which will take you along numerous small lakes to Hinterzarten. Walking time: approx. 4 - 5 hrs, approx. 16 km, + 355 m / - 505 m.
Day 3: Hinterzarten - Feldberg
You leave Hinterzarten and walk up to the picturesque Feldsee. After a break at this idyllic location you follow a narrow path up to the Seehalde. Passing a small ski resort, on to a mountain inn on the Feldberg, where you will spend the night. Walking time: approx. 4 - 5 hours , approx. 16 km, + 950 m / - 350 m.
Day 4: Feldberg - Todtnauberg
Today you will climb the Feldberg. The trail rises sharply, but after soon you will reach the top. From the highest point of the Black Forest, you can marvel at a wonderful panorama. After resting you continue to hike along the West Trail. The tour leads through quiet forests continually gentle downhill. Today's destination is the lively winter resort Todtnauberg. Walking time: approx. 5 hours, approx. 16.5 km, + 450 m / - 585 m.
Day 5: Todtnauberg - Bernau im Schwarzwald
From the height down into the valley to Todtnau. From there you take the chairlift up to the Hasenhorn. After a short detour to the summit you hike past the Prägbachfällen to Bernau. Bernau is considered one of the most beautiful high valleys in the Black Forest. Again. Walking time: approx. 5 - 6 hours, approx. 18 km, + 825 m / - 930 m.
Day 6: Bernau im Schwarzwald - Schluchsee
Today one of the most beautiful stages of your walking week is on the agenda. You walk past a disused silver mine and hike along the Schluchtensteig for a while which will bring up the Krummenkreuz. From here you walk on forest trails down to Schluchsee. The path leads along the shore of the lake to the center of the  health resort Schluchsee. Walking time: approx. 6 hours, approx. 24 km, + 530 m / - 500 m. 
Day 7: Schluchsee - Titisee / Saig
At the end of your hike a pleasent day awaits you. You ramble along the shore of Schluchsee into the small community Falkau. One last steep uphill and then you have reached your accommodation high above Titisee. Here you can relax and enjoy the end of your walking week at the wellness hotel! Time: approx. 4-5 hours, approx. 23 km, + 700 m / - 620 m.
Day 8: Departure.

Accommodation and luggage transportation:
Guest houses and country inns (possible upgrade to 4* hotels; ask for price), 1 basic inn on the top of Feldberg mountain (en-suite rooms throughout). Breakfast included all nights. Luggage transfers between the inns are included too (1 piece per person, max 25kg).

Price: 595 Euro (+ 50 Euro/person for all July and August arrivals)

The price does not include: Flights, insurance (recommended), entry fees, other meals and drinks, transfer from/to airport, public transportation costs.

Moderate hikes with an average duration of approximately 4 - 6 hours per day. The tours leads partly on rocky and possibly also slippery paths. For that you should bring surefootedness. For the ups and downs in the Black Forest, a good level of fitness is required. Parking: free parking close to the hotel. No reservation possible. Arrival by train: via Freiburg to Titisee. With the bus or a taxi to the first hotel. Transfer to the hotel on request.
